Directorate for Science and Higher Education performs tasks in the field of professional higher and university education, and research.

For implementation of these tasks, Directorate is divided to Department for Science and Department for Higher Education. In the later, an Education Recognition Unit is organized, which functions as a national information point on the field of education recognition and performs tasks of informational centre ENIC and centre for academic recognition NARIC.
